Purple Nostalgia

Prince Memorial

Prince 1958-2016

Sadly today I learned of the death of one of my favorite musicians, the pop master Prince.

Purple Rain was and still is one of my favorite albums. I remember singing every single song into my hairbrush while dancing in front of the mirror. It was a favorite pass time of mine and honestly I just got done dancing around the kitchen to the same album while cooking dinner.

His music is brilliant and his style is iconic and  he will be sorely missed by so many people.

So, to pay tribute to this Pop Icon I have created this graph for everyone as a reminder of the brilliant talent that we have lost today.

Grab the FREE pattern here Prince Memorial by Crafty Ridge, get settled in with your favorite Prince album, some yarn and your favorite hook and get to hooking, then hop over to my Facebook page and share your finished work with me and my Facebook family

Happy Hooking

  1. Hello! Thank you for sharing this! I just started this today 6/7/16. I’ve been wanting to make this for years and sadly now it is a tribute piece. Picked up the yarn this morning and chose a fine yarn cotton/rayon in purple (of course!) and black for the symbol. I just had to get a new crochet in size E since it was purple… totally had that size at home but eh. :p My choice of fine and size E is to hopefully make this into a tote bag. My husband and I love him and we both agreed that the symbol is the best option for such a project so thank you very much again! Hopefully in a couple of months I can share with you the finished item.
