Looney, I mean Luna Lovegood – Harry Potter CAL

Luna Lovegood square by Crafty Ridge

What Potter fan  doesn’t love the carefree and eccentric Luna Lovegood? She has to be one of my favorite characters of all time. She really moves to the beat of her own drum and cares not what others think of her. Whether she is barefoot in the Forbidden Forest or fighting fiercely for her friends she stays true to herself. What an amazing character!

Luna

When working up my Luna I used Red Heart Super Saver Yarns in Gold for her hair, Buff for her skin, Perfectly Pink, Red and Royal Blue for her glasses, Royal Blue and Light Grey for her tie, White for her shirt and Black for her robe. I made my square in c2c with an H hook. You can grab your Luna graph here Luna by Crafty Ridge

If your squares are disjointed, grab a piece of extra yarn in the color you need and sew around the corner and then weave in your ends, like in the picture below. This may happen around Luna’s glasses, because you will be working at a different angle at some point.

If you have never done c2c there are a ton of tutorials out there on YouTube. You can check out my video tutorials  at the top of the page, for short videos that show each step of working up a graph in c2c. For a longer video about the basic c2c check out the one by Mikey over at The Crochet Crowd!
